Astronergy, in collaboration with WOODWORK CO., LTD, launched a 1MW solar factory in Thailand, marking a significant step forward in enhancing sustainability within the local manufacturing sector.

WOODWORK CO., LTD, a leader in rubber wood processing with over 20 years of experience, handles approximately 10 million cubic feet of rubber wood annually. The company aims to export 10,000 containers of processed rubber wood annually.

The 1MW solar factory utilizes Astronergy’s ASTRO N5 n-type TOPCon solar modules that are specially designed to excel in high-temperature environments. Given Thailand’s consistently warm climate, these modules are an ideal choice. ASTRO N5 boasts a temperature coefficient as low as -0.29%/℃, ensuring stable power outputs despite high temperatures. With Astronergy’s advanced n-type TOPCon 4.0 cell technology and SMBB design, ASTRO N5 modules offer a maximum module efficiency of 23.3% and a highest power output of 650W.

Astronergy has been dedicated to advancing Thailand’s renewable energy sector. Since establishing one of its manufacturing bases in Thailand in 2016, the company has expanded its capabilities, with wafer slicing lines at this base commencing operation in April 2024. This development completes the base’s industrial chain, enabling the production of wafer slicing, PV cells, and PV modules, with an annual wafer production capacity of 5GW.

In addition to its technological contributions, Astronergy actively participates in local industry events through its annual World Tour activities, as well as key activities such as ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week.
