As the COP 28 is approaching, Astronergy, a pioneer in n-type TOPCon PV modules, announced its global sustainability commitment to the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), aiming to form more detailed action plans to practice its Sustainability Strategy and to contribute to the world’s sustainable development.
SBTi is an organization that drives ambitious climate action in the private sector by enabling companies to set science-based emissions reduction targets in line with the Paris Agreement. Its call to action is one of the We Mean Business Coalition commitments.
“Astronergy’s science-based targets commitment is a pivotal step in our journey to practice our Sustainability Strategy”, said Haiyan Huang, EVP & CSO at Astronergy, “SBTi commitment is a fresh start for us to dive into the improvement of scientific carbon targets and emission reduction action plans under relevant requirements, and also an initiative for us to continuously increase decarbonization efforts, and contribute actively to promoting global sustainable development”.
Since the announcement of its Sustainability Strategy with numerous clear goals in August this year, Astronergy fasters forward its moves to make more efforts for sustainable development of itself and the world.
The official commitment of Astronergy to SBTi initiates a 24-month goal validation process, at the end of which Astronergy will commit to ambitious sustainability action plans in line with SBTi sector guidelines and the GHG Protocol standards.
