ASTRO N Series Achieved ECS PPE2_V2 Certification, Ensuring Compliance in the French Market

Recently, Astronergy’s ASTRO N Series products have achieved Evaluation Carbone Simplifiée (ECS) PPE2_V2 certification, which reinforces Astronergy’s commitment to sustainability and compliance with France’s carbon footprint regulations.

The ECS, established by the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), is mandatory for solar projects to enter the French market. The PPE2_V2 standards impose even stricter carbon footprint limits on PV modules used in rooftop PV projects exceeding 500 kW, agricultural PV, and sunshade PV projects in France.

The updated PPE2_V2 standards adopt more rigorous criteria. For example, PPE2_V2 mandates the use of the country default GWP specified by the CRE for calculation, and no longer allows the use of measured values from LCA values of an enterprise’s upstream suppliers. In addition, PPE2_V2 requires ECS values to fall within 420–740 kgCO₂e/kWp, compared to 200-550 kgCO₂e/kWp in PPE2 standards.

As one of the companies that established a complete green supply chain system, Astronergy ensures the traceability of its raw materials and the eco-friendliness of its products.

In the future, Astronergy will continue to advance innovative solar technology and sustainable practices, to make our PV modules meet the highest environmental standards, contributing to a greener future.
