With the installation of 504MW Astronergy PV modules, a project at rural area in southwestern China was connected to the grid, contributing to crop cultivation and local green development.
After being put into operation, the project is expected to generate an average of about 550 million kWh of electricity per year, which is equivalent to an average annual saving of about 160,000 tonnes of standard coal and an emission reduction of about 500,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide, and will contribute to the green development of energy in the area.
The landing and operation of this project proves the reliability and successful grid connection and power generation ability of ASTRO series modules in agricultural scenario. Equipped with low BOS & LCOE costs ability, the ASTRO series products allow for more light and better growth of food crops combining with PERC+, multi-busbar, half-cut, non-destructive cutting technologies.
Meanwhile, this project is one more proof of Astronergy’s efforts to a greener world. Last year, Astronergy was awarded the verification certification for its 2022 ESG Report from TÜV SÜD at Intersolar Europe 2023, and its first zero-carbon factory was selected in 2023 Climate Action Cases at COP 28, which marks the beginning of Astronergy's ESG systematization.
In 2024, Astronergy will continue to shoulder the responsibility and take green actions as a leading company in PV industry.
