Astronergy successfully delivered 319MW of its ASTRO N5 solar modules to an innovative "Solar Thermal + PV" power station in the Gobi Desert, Southwest China.
The project was connected to the grid on December 29, 2024. Is integrates solar thermal and PV technologies to create a complementary clean energy ecosystem. With an expected annual power generation of approximately 2.19 billion kWh, this innovative system can save about 558,700 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon emissions by over 1.5 million tons each year.
The ASTRO N5 series PV modules utilize Astronergy's self-developed n-type TOPCon 4.0 cell technology along with 182mm large-size silicon wafers and SMBB technology. The advanced processes of high-density encapsulation and non-destructive cutting can enhance power generation performance and reliability, meeting various customer needs in different application scenarios.
