A 160MW Solar Farm in Quzhou City settled to Astronergy
10/21/2016

The contract was signed early in October by the top leaders of major parties. With a capacity of 160MW the new solar station is estimated to be able to reduce 16 tons of carbon emission and to create about 20 million CNY incomes in total. Developed and invested by Astronergy, the construction will begin in the near future.

This solar farm in Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province is going to be another example of “one piece of land in use of both solar farm and agriculture development” project. It means that people can grow economical plants or crops underneath the solar module arrays. It is planned to grow sunflowers or herbal plants for medicine under this 160MW solar station.

Quzhou government has a bigger plan for this solar station. “If you look at the entire picture, you would find out that we are making this place into a resort which would lift up economic development here even more.” People can come to visit to see the solar station also they can do fruits picking in north and do boating in the lake in south. We also hope this resort can attract students to come studying about clean energy or agriculture and doing outdoor experiments or activities.

“The purpose of developing clean energy is to resolve current issue of pollution and find a sustainable way to support economic development. There are many aspects of reserving environment, in China’s case, mutual use of lands saved a lot of resources which is a crucial part Astronergy values when we design a solar station.
